Sanchara Chikitsa Mobile Medical Units
Providing assured quality Primary Health Care services at village level though conducting fixed day clinics monthly once and maintaining Electronic Medical Record for every beneficiary
Scope of program
Chandranna Sanchara Chikitsa stands for “Primary Medical Care on wheels”. Through this program, any village with no existing health facilities within 5 km radius (12,000 identified) is provided medical services on fixed days every month with the help of Mobile Medical Units. Diabetes, hypertension, epilepsy,communicable diseases,ANC/ PNC checkups and other common ailments are investigated and treated.
Four counters are set up to provide effective medical services. The nurse in counter 1 helps register a beneficiary while
the doctor in counter 2 provides diagnosis & consultation. Lab tests are conducted at counter 3 by a lab technician as
needed and drugs are dispensed at counter 4.
Since the inception of this program:
- 2,94,311 clinics have been conducted.
- 90,17,063 patients have availed these services till date.
- 30,62,736 tests have been conducted till date.
- 68,54,714 medicines have been issued till date.
