NPCDCS - National Programme For Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke
Objective

The main objectives of the programme to prevent and control Non Communicable Diseases NCDs are Health promotion, opportunistic screening, capacity building, Health system strengthening, surveillance and monitoring of NCDs.

Program Details

NPCDCS aims at the integration of Non-Communicable Disease interventions in the National Health Mission framework. The programme mainly deals with the prevention and control of Cancers (oral/breast/cervical), Diabetes, Cardiovascular diseases and stroke

The programme is under implementation across all the 13 districts of the state. 55 CHC NCD clinics have been opened across the state. Cardiac care equipment has been supplied to districts and 6 cardiac care units have been opreationalized

  • No of patients attended NCD clinics
  • Percentage/No of persons diagnosed with Diabetes, Hypertension, CVd and stroke
  • Percentage/No of persons with cancers
  • No of CHC NCD clinics, District NCD clinics and cardiac care units
